Have You Planted Your Seed?

May 25, 2025    Pastor Josh Beers

In this powerful message, we're challenged to examine the spiritual seeds we're planting in our lives. The central theme revolves around Hosea 10:12, urging us to 'sow righteousness' and 'reap steadfast love.' This agricultural metaphor beautifully illustrates our spiritual growth journey. We're reminded that just as a farmer must prepare the soil, plant the seed, and faithfully tend to the crop, we too must prepare our hearts, plant seeds of faith, and patiently nurture our spiritual lives. The message draws interesting parallels between crop failure and spiritual stagnation, highlighting how unchecked 'pests' like bitterness, envy, and anger can destroy our spiritual harvest. This insight encourages us to regularly examine our hearts and remove anything hindering our growth. As we reflect on this message, we're called to consider: What seeds are we holding onto that God is asking us to plant? Are there areas of our lives we've neglected or left uncultivated? By surrendering these areas to God and remaining faithful, we can trust Him to bring a bountiful harvest in His perfect timing.
